The first professional poker player, Marcel Luske, has now brought his sport to the forefront. He has now developed his own market organization, Flying Dutchman Marketing. His purpose of marketing is multi-functioned, in order to bring poker to the people. He will connect with his fans via text messaging, and other ways of communication. He will go on to become the director of the International Poker Federation, and contributing writer to Bluff Magazine, bringing all sorts of information to poker fans. Additionally, he has signed up with Smart Entertainment and their Celebrity Poker Chat site, which brings updates and playing tips to his fans, as he plays.
Under the promotion of the Poker Chat, one person will be able to win a seat to see the World Series of Poker. Under all these campaigns, and new ways to promote the game, Luske will find himself, a bigger celebrity than he was before. At the same time, he will bring interesting, and innovative ways for poker fans to really be part of the game, and be champs themselves.
Luske celebrity has flourished in the United States, and in Europe. The last two WSOP tournaments have brought him toward his rising star. In 2003, he placed in thirteenth place, and tenth in 2004s main event. He is also known for wearing his sun glasses upside down. Luske has made his celebrity something to strive for.
