Next Thursday, the racing commission of Oklahoma will be meaning to decide if they should add a casino to an established racetrack. The executive director of the commission in Oklahoma, Gordan Hare will be in charge to pushing the decision. If by the end of the June monthly meeting a decision is not made, July 21 could reverse anything left undecided to an actual go-ahead. Two weeks can decide this, and actually put it in operation, if so. As it turns out, nothing is definite for this month, but eventually things will occur in this direction. Oklahoma will have racinos; it is just a matter of time.
Currently, Blue Ribbon Downs is in that direction. The Sallisaw home was the first to offer slots in the state, and has been a favorite. Blue Ribbon, and the famous Remington Park will be granted racetrack gaming licenses during the meeting, it is just the question which meeting. In the mean time, fans can check out the horses, and wait for the empty spaces to be filled with their favorite games. Oklahoma wants this, and soon it will get this, at least by the end of this year. |
