Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. put in power their new regional vice president, as of June 20th, Duncan McKenzie. The new VP will be in charge of overseeing the company properties in Lula, Vicksburg, Natchez, Miss., in cooperation with Kansas City, and Booneville Mo. McKenzie has vast experience, and the promotion was something long time awaited.
McKenzie is a graduate with a degree in business administration from Michigan State University, as well as a hospitality accountant certificate from the Hilton Hotel’s executive training program. He was promoted from president and general manger for the Grand Casino Biloxi, with 22 years of experience in casino management in Gulfport Miss. Kansas City Mo. New Orleans La., Laughlin and Las Vegas. He was also the Chairman of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, if that title remains, that remains to be seen.
The Isle of Capri’s move was in the face of growth of their gaming and entertainment facilities. They operate 15 casinos, in 13 locations. These locations are in the US, Bahamas, and England. The step with McKenzie on board will be a new and refreshing move. |
