Celebrity and Poker enthusiasts have just joined the newly announced World Poker Exchange’s first round. Both professional players and the stars will duke it out for the $2 million prize at the London Open of the World Poker Exchange, August 4th- 7th. The line up is: Nicholas Gonzalez (‘The O.C.’), Willie Garson (‘Sex and the City’), Mimi Rogers (‘Stone Cold’), and Richard Kind (‘Spin City’).
The River Thames will be the setting of the tournament featuring the $2 million prize. The event is supposed to be a days of entertainment, plus culture and fine dinning. VIP Reception will feature South London-based funky pop act Dirty Vegas, with Grace Jones, and a party by DJ Guy Preston. There will even be a private concert for contestants. Later, for interested players, there will be a separate charity tournament.
The London Open promises to be the best poker tournament. The combination of celebrities, and professionals, plus all the entertainment, has never been done before at any poker tournament. The turnout is expected to be large, and the most fun of any tournament. |
