Cape Town, South Africa was the sight of the conference last week for a unique educational seminar on problem gambling. This was organized by eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA). The course was held to correspond with responsible gaming requirements approved by the Board.
The program is an industry first. It is a first for the collective group of online casinos, designed to inform eCOGRA casino managers on the new regulations. This also provides them with enough information to set up policies and training programs. It will also prepare new safety precautions by eGAP standards.
Andrew Beveridge, CEO of eCOGRA believes that responsible gaming is important. This is both from a moral and a practical viewpoint. The goal is to prevent addictive gambling. |
