This year, Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority have upped its strategy when it comes to marketing its product. Part of the new strategy is stretching its aims at bringing in young visitors, as well as female visitors to Atlantic City casinos and resorts. The new campaign set to bring in people from Philadelphia, Eastern Pennsylvania, New York and North Jersey. These places are prime targets for regulars and hopefully some new faces before Pennsylvania starts its own casinos. Pennsylvania will be opening slots casinos very shortly.
Each of the twelve Atlantic City casinos has found its own target, however, as a collective they are moving towards a new direction. The authority wishes to send a message out to a different audience, not to alienate its previous audience. Now Atlantic City is a destination for shopping, food and entertainment.
Casinos have been trying to get the message out. They have spent millions of dollars doing so for this campaign. This is seen through the mass casino advertisements seen at every medium, and billboard all over the land. |
