West Virginia representatives will talk about the possibility of table gambling in the up coming year. It seems like some thing that many come through. Legislation just needs to be prepared in any case.
Those in favor of table gambling have hoped to persuade Gov. Joe Manchin to include this matter. Manchin would prefer that any talk of gambling will consist of new limitations, outside racetracks. Since his statement, it hasn’t changed.
It seems that table gambling is just too complicated to touch. Lawmakers would like to finally have a solution already. Legislation is even taking too long to be figured out.
Around January there is hope for another session. Four racetracks, including two in the Northern Panhandle, already have video gambling, but not table games. Some of these places in the state fear the two will compete with one another. Pennsylvania, which are about to get their own video machines.
Preparation is under way for the January meeting. They are also preparing for the chance for success. Hopefully, the states feelings about the success may prove to become reality. |
