Hyatt Regency Hotels recently made public that they would like to open a branch of their casino in Tirana, Albania this October. They paid 1 billion Lek (8 million) for the license, which was issued by the Albanian Government this past January.
The plan was made evident by the company in Athens. This business move may mean a 14 million total investment. George Galanakis, Chief Executive Officer believes that the investment will get back its revues and plus by the next two and a half years.
The Tirana Casino will occupy 1700 SQM of area. Hyatt casino is only the first out of five casino licenses the Albanian government is planning on giving out. The other casinos will be in Saranda, Vlora, Durrės and Velipojė, all seaside towns, high in tourism in their own rights already. |
