In Macau this week, K. Wah Construction Materials Ltd. announced its plans to open three new casinos in the city. Macau is the only city in China, where gambling is considered legal. Vice Chairman Francis Lui said that by mid-2006 they will be open and ready for business. They will have over 400 table games.
K Wah plans to change its name to Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd. by the end this year, for no known reasons. It could be because it recently reported the first-half net income of US$1.8 million, excluding the casinos' income. The casino change took place after that occurrence. |
