Residents living in Brandon, Manitoba have felt for sometime now that they want to make their city more attractive for visitors to come there. The downtown areas are absolutely hideous, including 10th Street. Not there in the middle of nothing there may be a chance for the city with a casino
John Laurence, a downtown developer, plans this face lift. He will work with the Five First Nations to create a 100 block into a hotel and casino standing four-stories high. This will bring tourism to Brandon.
Residents of Brandon have had many different reactions. They feel the areas will have more visitors, but are worried about the bad points of this. Then again all is talk, and no action, not for now anyway. |
