Nevada casino gambling revenue rose this summer. The rise came to about 9.3% equaling $989.0 million in August 2005. The rise was helped by the 13.3% rise on the Las Vegas Strip this past summer. This is a percentage that accounts for about half of the state's wagers.
Properties along the Strip, include; MGM Mirage owned by Mandalay Bay and Caesars Palace owned by Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. posted gambling revenue of $486.6 million, between the two of them. Properties in Reno had a 3.1% increase equaling to $70.2 million. Other casinos in Vegas has a $53.5 million making, which accounts for a total drop of 2.6% |
