The Mashantucket Pequot, a Native American tribe has recently hired a construction company for expansion of their casino. They have a casino in Connecticut, and they want to make it bigger and better. So much so, that they hired the company for a $462.8 million expansion.
Perini Building Co. Inc. said they are hoping for a 2 million-square-foot expansion. The casino in question is Connecticut’s Foxwoods Resort Casino. This casino is already the largest casino in the world, but still the expansion may go on.
The facility covers 4.7 million-square feet including a 340,000 square feet of gambling space, with 1,400 hotel rooms. The expansion will add 2,900 more parking spaces. The tribe is happy with the expansion with the Perini Building Co., said Michael Thomas, Chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot tribe. |
