Fort Mitchell-based Columbia Sussex Corp., has withdrawn an application to buy the President Casino in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The Columbia, a hotel and casino’s operator The Missouri Gaming Commission was meant to consider the Columbia Sussex's application to buy the casino. They ended up not do so after a letter was sent stating Columbia Sussex's withdrawal.
This withdrawal was considered a breach of contract, and President Casinos Inc. is looking to take legal action. The action against Columbia Sussex Corp. President Casino is hardly worth the fight as they are bankrupt, and the deal was supposed to resurrect them. Too bad, since General Manager of President Casino, Chris Strobbe was hopeful that this deal would work. |
