Langley convenience store may have seen the last of their video poker machines. Most were taken by The Aiken County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. They went after and seized five video poker machines and issued citations to three individuals. All this occurred last week at Four Seasons.
The cited parties were; 22-year-old Victoria R. Starlings of Gloverville, 27-year-old Tammy L. Spires of Bath and 36-year-old Sherry L. Porter of North Augusta. The citations charged all of the ladies with unlawful gaming and keeping of devices and machines. In an investigation, the employees were found issuing ‘gift certificates.’ The last two months, they gave these certificated to their customers, who in return used them to receive cash payments. |
