Next year will bring in the new for many businesses, but for one casino it will mean new renovations. The Boomtown Reno hotel-casino will be renovated, but officials are not sure how this will be done or what will be done, either than or no one is talking. They are additional keeping their mouths shut regarding negotiations with Cabela's outdoor retailer.
Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. of Las Vegas, which owns Boomtown Reno, conducted a conference call to report third quarter financials at the beginning of this week. They reported positive results based on their tax benefit, and despite the interruptions of the hurricanes on the Gulf Coast.
Officials said that they are planning renovation in 2006. They are also anticipating Cabela's coming on board and opening a hunting and fishing store on the property. The only thing that was commented on is that they are in negotiations, and things are going well, but they are not disclosing any other additional information.
Boomtown General Manager Jack Fisher said while the direction of the renovations have not been determined, they are seeking a lighter for the casino. The renovation also will include all the hotel rooms. They don’t know when it will be finished, but it will definitely start in 06. |
