The Granite Falls Fire Department is currently under investigation for running an illegal gambling operation. This warrant comes at a time, when authorities received an anonymous tip. It was due top this, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety executed a search warrant and seized property at the Fire Department Oct. 27. The warrant application in Yellow Medicine County District Court shows the reason it was executed this way.
The warrant application claims a volunteer firefighter from Granite Falls, along with other Fire Department members, sold "100-number boards" to area residents. At the moment no charges have been filed. Not until an investigation should prove otherwise. |
