The Seneca Nation has the go ahead with plans for their own Buffalo casino. This all comes at time when an appellate court voted against Cheektowaga. While there is some regret, no tears are being shed. It happened, and there has to be a period of moving on.
Seneca Nation President Barry Snyder says he regrets Cheektowaga lost. This was an appeal for Seneca’s' third casino. Responsibly, he claims that is time to move forward with other issues. Some of these issues include a December 9th casino groundbreaking on Seneca owned land near Buffalo’s waterfront.
Snyder went on to say that he is concerned now with the 9 acres he has. Now is the time to focus on what they do have, and not what could be or lost. Construction is underway, and it won’t be for the Cheektowaga. |
