The Gold Reef City Casino in Johannesburg has been robbed early Wednesday. The eight burglars entered the premise, and terrified everyone. They terrified them so much that they are in trauma counseling to calm down.
Casino Marketing Manager Claudia Crooney says the best thing to do right now is to keep calm. She confirmed the incident, but said that the men did not walk away with any cash. Even though they thought they took, the container for the money was empty.
Two of the guards were injured, during the shot out with the robbers. By 7.30am, she said casino management was working with police on scene. No one knows who attempted to rob the casino, but a full investigation will be underway. |
