The Delta Blues Casino was supposed to be opened in 2001, well now it is nearly 2006, and the casino hasn’t ever opened it s doors. Now it seems that the sites approval expired on Oct. 21. The CEO says the investors and architects are still going to continue with building.
Delta Blues has additionally planned for a convention center that would satisfy Greenville government and business leaders' desire to have a downtown entertainment center. After a meeting with the City Council, officials from the casino s would break ground in 2-3 weeks, but that was 2-3 months ago.
This site is to be close to a water park, museums etc. Since they took so long, the Delta Blues Casino will have to reapply for reinstatement. That still need to be approved too, and no one is sue if that will happen or how long that will take. |
