Hollywood Poker just last week, raised $ 50,000 for charity. The charity celebrated it first anniversary party at the Montmartre Lounge in Hollywood California, when they kicked off Hollywood Pokers second annual event. Vince Van Patten welcomed in the VIPs and celebrities, as the play was about to begin.
The event was part of several online tournaments and a silent auction. The auction featured items that were generously sponsored. During the event Van Patten presented checks to Director of Communication H.T. Linke for the American Red Cross and to Dennis Quaid’s charity, International Hospital for Children, to help hurricane relief efforts. However, the anniversary events don’t end with the charity.
In honor of the anniversary, there was also a $10,000 Free Roll, described as "a thank you party to all the players." All those who wagered real money on the site in the 90 days before November 30, 2005 will receive a bonus, one ticket which can be used in one of two $5,000 freerolls. These freerolls are available Friday December 2, 2005, or December 4, 2005. The tournaments available will be No Limit Texas Holdem, and will offer a flat prize. Registration will open three hours prior to the main event. |
