One of the world’s largest online poker networks has launched a real-money poker website. Of course they are offering it for their Polish and Russian fans. This online site will be the first to offer play and support in these players’ native languages.
The million-dollar campaign will begin at the end of 2005. They are just waiting for governing laws to come into effect for the promotion of gambling, at least on the web. Since the popularity of gambling is growing in Russia, there is every reason to support this. This is especially true for the past three years, when the casino numbers boomed by 93%, from the original 30-58%. Moscow authorities say even slot machines have gotten more popular.
Jakob SÚderbaum, VP and Director of the online poker network hopes advertising bans will be lifted. If so then the numbers will go up even higher. That is what Russian and Polish audiences are hoping for. |
