New Zealand is not the only place that may seek higher wages for workers, but today that was their big news. Apparently, the staff at Hamilton's Sky City Casino went on strike. Yesterday they went on strike, but truthfully it isn’t working. After all this is the third time in a week they went on strike. They may be pursuing higher wages, but wouldn’t a continued strike be better, than doing it resuming back to work, and striking again several days later?
The staffs in Auckland casinos are paid 15 to 20 % more than they are. SkyCity has offered their staff a raise, but it was only 2%, and they didn’t consider this enough. The employees claim that they are just asking for what they deserve, Auckland rates. |
