The St. Croix Casino has done its part for the Christmas season. Ever since 1993, they have helped thousands of little children. Through the ‘Gifts from the Heart’ toy drive, they have helped more than 65,000 toys be collected and given out charities in northwestern Wisconsin.
This year, from Nov. 28 through Dec. 3, 5,000 toys were donated and delivered. Almost 3,100 casino guests took part in this all. The guests made this all possible; if it weren’t for them there would be no success.
The casino gave $5 to each guest who donated a toy. This is a small reward for the bigger one they made for a small child. All the casino has to do after the donation is given is wrap and deliver the gifts to the appropriate charity. It was a team effort that worked well this year. |
